NOTE: I AM ACTUALLY EDITING THIS WITH A TABLET, RIGHT NOW AND IMPROVING IT
Back cover for my graphic novel Detached. The colors are not so good, and the scanner messes them up, also. But here is the idea. Pencil colors
I have just a little experience drawing cars, and women features do not come to me so asily than men, so I am still testing.
Two seemingly normal teens embark on a deadly road trip leaving 11 deaths on their way, and Americas heartland shocked and terrified
Charles Starkweather, a James Dean wannabe, nebraskan teenage killer from the late fifties who went into a 10 days killing spree in 1958 and raised a manhunt to capture him along with his 14 year old girlfriend Caril Fugate. Despite his thick eyeglasses and short stature he was a dangerous, crazy as hell, gun totting 19 year old killer. Executed one year later, June 25, 1959 in the electric chair.
Caril Ann Fugate served 17 years en prison and was paroled in 1976. Se was the youngest female convicted for first degree murder. She has not been in problems since then and still maintains she was an unwilling accompliance
The inspirer of films such as Natural Born Killers, Kalifornia and BadLands.
Stephen King was a child when the Starkweather murders took place and he was so shocked and fascinated, thatbased some of his creepy characters in the twisted young killer. The future writer kept a scrapbook of the case with newspapers clippings
The angle of the man's face makes him look very odd, but I think that's purely due to angle. The hands are a little too stubby, unless they were intentionally drawn that way. The girl's mouth is a little awkward and the hair is very bulky. I love the car though. The colors are also pretty interesting and cool to look at. The story looks interesting enough as well, it's a cool concept. I would add a little more folds on the jean jacket though, if that is possible. The shading is pretty good. I hope I showed some insight.
